At Age in Place Charlottesville, we believe in clear, straightforward pricing with no surprises. Whether you need help around the house, transportation to an appointment, or guidance navigating aging-in-place decisions, we'll explain costs upfront so you know exactly what to expect.
Service Rates
Home & Property Support, Daily Life Assistance, Companion Visits, and Wellness Check-ins
$40 per hour
2-hour minimum for physical and transportation work. After the initial 2 hours, time is billed in 30-minute increments.

We accept checks, Venmo and Zelle.

For physical work such as yardwork, home maintenance, decluttering, and similar tasks, there is a 2-hour minimum visit. Additional time is billed in 30-minute increments.

Absolutely. Many of our clients have adult children or family members coordinating services and payment on their behalf. We are happy to work directly with designated family contacts.

We proudly serve Charlottesville and the surrounding Western Albemarle area. If you're supporting a loved one remotely, we're also happy to meet with family members by phone or Zoom.
For appointments located more than 20 minutes from our point of origin, a $20 trip charge will apply. Travel times are calculated in advance using MapQuest.
For transportation services, errands, and appointments, mileage is billed at $0.50 per mile to cover travel costs.

No. We provide non-medical support services designed to help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

The first appointment must be prepaid or paid onsite before services begin. After the initial visit, payment arrangements can be discussed based on ongoing service needs.
